Once upon a not-very-long time ago, childhood friends and busy Londoners Max and Louis had a bit of a rant.
Why? Well, every time they needed to store some stuff, they had to trek out to some industrial complex – far, miserable and desolate – only to deal with tons of paperwork and frustrating booking systems. This sucks.
By then, Max had already successfully launched his start up Spokesafe (secure parking for bikes). Also, Louis’ background in property development made him acutely aware of the amount of unused space in city centres. What a waste.
And there it was: they decided to take the good stuff from Max’ booking platform, Louis’ knowledge of urban spaces, and create a self-storage company that doesn’t suck. They called it Pocket.
