What size storage unit do I need?
It depends on what you're storing. As a rough guide: a few boxes need around 10 sq ft, a studio or one room about 25 sq ft, a 1-bed flat 35–50 sq ft, and a 3-bed home around 75–100 sq ft. Use the calculator above for a quick steer, or check the size chart to eyeball it.
What size unit do I need for a 1-bed flat?
Most 1-bed flats fit comfortably in 35–50 sq ft, depending on how much furniture you're keeping. Storing a sofa, bed, wardrobe and the usual boxes? 35 sq ft usually does it. A lot of bulky bits, or a 2-bed's worth? Size up to 50.
How many boxes fit in a storage unit?
Roughly: 10 sq ft holds 10–15 standard boxes, 25 sq ft around 30, and 50 sq ft around 60 — plus room for furniture in the larger sizes. Stack sensibly and you'll fit more than you'd think.
What if I pick the wrong size?
No drama. If you've over- or under-judged it, switch to a bigger or smaller Pocket whenever you need. You're never locked into a size that doesn't fit.
How accurate is the size calculator?
It's a guide to get you in the right ballpark, not a precise measurement. Everyone packs differently, so if you're close between two sizes or storing something awkward, book a free inspection pass or ask the team and we'll help you judge it.
Do I need to be exact about what I'm storing?
Not at all — a rough idea is plenty to get a recommendation. You can always adjust your size before moving in, and the team's on hand if you want a second opinion.
